In the lips of all in Eyanchang these days is the football competition that is currently going on in the village.
From one spot to another you will not stop hearing people talking about how their quarter teams will win the other teams or how their teams are stronger than the others.

This has left some who are married to other quarters perplexed of which quarter to support; whether their native quarters or the quarters they are married to.

An entrepreneur with a difference

You will be surprised to hear that one can establish a good and successful business in Eyanchang village. But this is true with the famous Ajean Plaquer.

This guy has proven that there is a lot of potentials in Eyanchang village through his commitment to his hand work and hard work. No one would be expected to learn a trade in the big towns of Cameroon only to go back in the village to practice it. Yet Ajean Plaquer has proven all who believed you can only practice your hand work in the towns wrong.

NO MORE GOING BACK TO EGYPT

EYANCHANG IN THE FACE OF MODERNISATION (Part 1)

They make things their way
My recent visit to Eyanchang gave me the opportunity to discover the village afresh. Driving from Douala to the village can be very smooth through the Bamenda road and I can assure you that you can drive past Eyanchang without noticing. Thank God I was with folks who help direct me through.

The atmosphere may still be the same but the structure has changed and many young guys now have monthly salaries that have added to their normal farm work income.

A CONSTITUTIONAL COMMITTEE FORMED

Members in a meeting
Members of ECDA have expressed the need for the revision of the constitution of the association. This was made in an extraordinary executive meeting of the association that took place in Buea on the 06th of July 2013. There is an urgent need for the constitution to be revised so as to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings and misconceptions among members. The lack of a revised constitution for the association gives room for lack of proper control and direction of the association.
