EYANCHANG IN THE FACE OF MODERNISATION (Part 1)

They make things their way
My recent visit to Eyanchang gave me the opportunity to discover the village afresh. Driving from Douala to the village can be very smooth through the Bamenda road and I can assure you that you can drive past Eyanchang without noticing. Thank God I was with folks who help direct me through.

The atmosphere may still be the same but the structure has changed and many young guys now have monthly salaries that have added to their normal farm work income.

INTER-QUARTERS FOOTBALL COMPETITION

A football competition has been organised in Eyanchang village between the various quarters of the village.
According to the president of the organising committee Mr Ayuk Hilary, the competition shall see the various quarters of the village competing among themselves. All the quarters shall compete in this competition while Boh-Tabot and Mbofong have merged to form one team making a total of five teams in the competition.

REQUEST TO SUPPORT EYANCHANG NURSERY SCHOOL

The Eyanchang Government Nursery School had witness a drastic drop in enrollment to only eight pupils for nursery one and two with two trained teachers in the academic year 2012/2013.
The ECDA General had embarked to improve the enrollment through sensitization and providing the pupils/school with basic needs.
The ECDA General Executive on a recent trip to the village learnt with disdained of the appalling situation pertaining to the Government Nursery School amongst other issues and reported thereto to branches.
