ECDA DECIDES TO SUPPORT CHILDREN

Members of ECDA shall be supporting the Government Nursery School of Eyanchang with a pair of uniform, mathematics and English text books for each registered child of the nursery school for the school year 2013/2014.

The decision came amid complaints from the villagers that the nursery school was not up to the expected standard. The complaints were presented by the President General of ECDA Dr Enyong Peter who was also the head of the ECDA delegation that visited the village recently to get first-hand information about happenings in the village.

The association therefore pledge to encourage the school by offering some support to the school thereby encouraging the teachers to work harder so as to attract parents to send their children to the school.

A committee comprising of six members was formed to handle the school support. They are to decide what each branch of ECDA will contribute and channel them to the nursery school authorities and also ensures that they use them properly.

In closing this issue, the President general of ECDA Dr Enyong, called on all Eyanchang Elements to contribute massively to help our little ones back in the village. He also encouraged branches to treat this matter with a lot of seriousness and generosity so that through the gifts, Eyanchang Nursery School can be a school of reference in Mamfe.
